Geneva, Ala., resident wins exclusive fishing excursion off St. Simons Island
with professional sportsmen Tom Mann Jr. and O’Neill Williams
ATLANTA – Sept. 16, 2008 – SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), today announced that Cobie Dixon of Geneva, Ala., is the winner of its second annual “The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes.
SouthernLINC Wireless will provide Dixon and his father, Hobie Dixon, with an all-expense paid four-day, three-night trip to the historic King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga. The trip, which will take place from Sept. 23-26, 2008, includes two days of fishing off St. Simons Island with outdoor enthusiast and television personality O’Neill Williams and professional bass fisherman Tom Mann Jr. On Jan. 18, 2009, Williams will air exclusive footage from the trip on his cable television program, “O’Neill Outside.”

This is the second consecutive year that SouthernLINC Wireless has given away a fishing excursion featuring the two sportsmen. The group will fish for redfish from aboard a 24-foot off-shore fishing vessel captained by Mark Noble, one of the most experienced guides on St. Simons Island.

Cobie Dixon entered the sweepstakes at the SouthernLINC Wireless-sponsored Movies Under the Stars event on May 9 in Dothan, Ala. The contest was open to residents of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi age 21 and older from April 1 through July 18, 2008.
